This simple vegan chocolate cake recipe with syrup is very easy to prepare.

Being made with very common and accessible ingredients, it is super fluffy and very tasty.

So there is no mistake!

Vegan cake ingredients:

  • 1 and ½ cup of wheat flour;
  • ¼ cup 100% cocoa powder;
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract (optional);
  • ¼ cup extra virgin olive oil (or extra virgin coconut oil);
  • 1 teaspoon of sodium bicarbonate;
  • ½ teaspoon of chemical baking powder;
  • ¾ cup of stevia, xylitol or erythritol sugar;
  • ¼ teaspoon of sea salt or pink Himalayan salt;
  • 1 teaspoon of organic apple cider vinegar;
  • 1 cup of water (at room temperature).

Vegan chocolate sauce ingredients:

  • 2 tablespoons of 100% cocoa powder;
  • 1 cup of stevia, xylitol or erythritol sugar;
  • 1 tablespoon of extra virgin coconut oil;
  • ½ cup of water.

How to prepare vegan chocolate cake:

First, preheat the oven to 356 Fahrenheit and grease a cake pan.

I simply end up using one measuring 20 cm in diameter with a hole in the middle.

Then book.

Now in a large bowl, sift the wheat flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder and salt.

Then add the sugar and mix.

Then just add the water and olive oil (or coconut oil) and mix well, until you get a smooth dough.

Now just add the vanilla extract (optional) and organic apple cider vinegar and incorporate.

Finally, distribute the dough in the previously prepared and reserved pan.

Then take the cake to bake for around 55 minutes*.

Detail, to know if it’s ready, just insert a toothpick.

So, if it comes out dry, the vegan cake is ready.

This way, when it’s ready, just take it out of the oven, let it cool and remove it from the mold.

Now spread the frosting when the vegan cake is cold.

How to prepare vegan chocolate syrup:

First add the sugar, cocoa powder and water to a pan and place over medium heat and mix.

Then when it boils, add the coconut oil and continue stirring until it reaches the desired consistency.

Then you can test it on a cold plate:

All you need to do is drip a little of the syrup and, if it is consistent, it will be ready to be used.

However, oven time may vary depending on your oven model.
